Catrina Marie Alberts
Ph.D. student in Biology, Northern Arizona University
ABOUT
me
I am passionate about preserving the natural world and promoting biodiversity. With my expertise in environmental DNA, I have the tools to better understand amphibian populations on Indigenous land. As a Diné scientist, the primary focus of my research is bridging the gap between Traditional Ecological Knowledge and Western scientific methodologies to paint a fuller picture of the ecosystems in which these creatures thrive. By doing so, I aim to contribute to greater conservation efforts and to the health of our planet.
